Fairtrade Fortnight 2018 runs from Monday 26th February to Sunday 11th March.
Come on in and find out what delicious and unusual products there are on offer for you to enjoy. All around the world thousands of farmers and workers are working hard to produce the things you love, whether it’s that morning cuppa or evening glass of wine.
Choosing Fairtrade means you can help transform the lives and futures of more than 1.6 million farmers and workers in developing countries.
So whether you’re sharing a cup of coffee and a bar of chocolate with your neighbour or grabbing a snack on the go, make sure it’s Fairtrade and remember you’re making a difference.

Events in Bury during Fairtrade Fortnight
Bury Fairtrade have teamed up with local businesses, community groups and some of the best known names in ethical shopping to ensure Fairtrade Fortnight gets local consumers thinking about how their food is produced, with the message: Come On In - Buy Fairtrade!
Bury Unitarian Church
On Sunday, March 4th, Bury's Fairtrade Group will be holding a service at Bury Unitarian Church, to celebrate Fair Trade Fortnight and its success in the borough since it achieved Fairtrade status. The Group's Officers will speak about their work, their aims, and their hopes for the future. The service will be conducted by Rev. Kate McKenna, Bury Unitarian Church's Minister, and The Mayor of Bury and The Leader of the Council have agreed to be present.The service will begin at 11.15 a.m. and will be followed by coffee and fairly-traded refreshments; the church's Fair Trade stall will be displaying its wares, too.
Millgate Centre
They will be hosting an information stand with free tastings on Wednesday 28th February including chocolate from Divine and the Co-operative, snacks from Liberation Nuts and Tropical Wholefoods.
Kwoff - Silver Street
Wine tasting at Kwoff - details to be confirmed
Khizra Mosque - Parker Street
A fairtrade information stall will be there on the 18th February
Brandlesholme Methodists Church - Boulden Drive
A special Fairtrade service will be held on Sunday 18 March
Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival
On the 24th and 25th March, we will have a stall at the Ramsbottom Chocolate with our usual Fairtrade goodies.
All Fortnight
Displays at several locations, including the Town Hall, and the Mosses Centre.
Bury Metropolitan Borough Council
Council display screens will be publicising the council’s support for Bury as one of the UK’s Fairtrade Towns.
Faith Groups
